“What does one do when a sea lion decides to take a six hour nap on one’s jet ski?”....Admire his boldness of course! Just one of many fond memories my husband and I shared while raising our children on Camano Island. I still wonder how I kept track of my kids with state and county parks within walking distance, explaining why we truly utilized our property. Endless hours beach combing, building forts in the forests, experiencing sightings of wild animals and sea life, and breathtaking sunrise/sunsets that fill our many photo albums. As a family, we became stewards of these parks, to include Fidalgo Island, Anacortes then and still today; a great way to become involved and take ownership.
My husband and I began as airline employees and traveled much of the world before being confronted with the decision of “where do we want to raise our children?” Our choice of the great Northwest opened doors to the future return of our own children, after college. They developed such a connection and love for the Pacific Northwest, and a true appreciation for its beauty and unique nature. They want their children to have the same experiences and memories that filled their adventuresome childhoods. It is so exciting to share this world with our granddaughter and being a part of her discovery, while making lasting memories.
On Camano Island, I managed our small airport and completed a unique split zone short plat advertising, “Land your plane and taxi to your home.” I have experience as a Property Manager, having managed 75 diverse properties in Hawaii. While there, I demonstrated the ability to gain customer trust and provide exceptional follow-up. While my children were young, I held volunteer Treasurer positions for the Stanwood-Camano Junior Athletic Association and Little League. I loved being a board member of our school commission and the challenge of being a part of "grass roots" to a NEW high school recently completed in Mill Creek, WA. While living in Hawaii, I worked as a volunteer docent, helping to educate hundreds of Hawaiian school children about the beautiful Green Sea Turtle and the environmental hazards that threaten its life. And as a proud mother of our daughter serving in the United States Air Force, I truly look forward to working with all military members in the Washington area, offering a smooth real estate transition.
My free time includes long walks with my Husky pup, gardening, boating, kayaking, crabbing, clamming, cooking, bonsai culture, and mastering "tap dance" shoes with my granddaughter.
My goal is to reach beyond your expectations!
