Ryan's Real Estate Tip of the Month   

When buying a newly constructed home, remember that new doesn't mean "problem free."  Make sure to kick the tires on that baby.  Open cabinets and drawers, inspect the trim and paint -- tight tolerances and a tidy paint job give insight into the attention paid to detail in the construction.  When what you can see and touch seems well-made, the chances are higher that the same attention to detail went into what you can't see.

Then once you move in to your new home, use all the systems and fixtures, even those that will later be rarely used, to make sure your builder has an opportunity to tweak and fix while your home is under warranty.
